Check back soon for more information!

Cell phones, laptops, digital cameras and digital video cameras are always being collected for recycling.  Over $800.00 has been earned over the past 5 years, all of it being used to purchase new music supplies for the students to use in class and performances. Just bring your old stuff to the music room and put it in the big blue box.  Thanks for helping us turn garbage into $$$$.

Mrs. Hannan has been teaching Music at W.E. Cundiff since 2005.

I am a native of Cleveland, Ohio who moved to Roanoke in 1979.  After working for several area businesses and running my own residential and commercial cleaning and carpet maintenance company for 17 years, I decided to go back to college and realize my lifelong desire to be a music teacher.  I graduated from Virginia Western Community College in 1995 and Radford University in 1997.

Prior to teaching at Cundiff Elementary I taught middle school band at Hidden Valley Junior High, choir and band at Northside Middle School, high school band at Cave Spring High School, guitar and instrumental ensemble at Northside High School and music at Clearbrook Elementary.

Coming from a musical family, music became important to me early in life.  I spent many happy hours practicing my trombone as a child and had wonderful times playing and singing all through school, in the band and choir. I have played in several small ensembles through the years and even had a few opportunities to play with the Roanoke Symphony and the New River Valley Orchestra at Va Tech.

My husband, Don, and I have been married for 32 years. We have one son, Nathan, who is also a horn player.  Nathan is presently serving with the Army in Iraq as a tank driver and gunner.  My hobbies are sewing, gardening, cooking, baking, cake decorating and reading.  Oh, and of course I love to go to the Roanoke Symphony Orchestra concerts.

Please bring your old cell phones in to the music room and deposit them in the big blue box.  Old phones mean FREE, new instruments for our school which are used by ALL of our students.
