Welcome to Physical Education.........

W.E. Cundiff's Physical Education program  includes skills-based, developmentally appropriate activities and skills.  The main focus includes movement and spatial concepts in the lower grades and skill themes in the upper grades.  Physical fitness concepts and the principles of teamwork, & sportsmanship are integrated into the program at all grade levels.  Testing includes gross motor screening in the lower grades and fitness testing in the upper grades.

VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED TO HELP WITH FIELD DAY ACTIVITIES!

Send in your empty 16 oz. water bottles WITH LIDS!  These will be used for a Field Day station.

Teachers will have student sign out sheets in the classroom to sign their child out on Field Day only!

Remember to wear sunscreen!

Notes from Mr. Hughes:

Please remember to wear tennis shoes each day to gym.

Mr. Hughes and Mr. Murray are certified as archery instructors through "National Archery in the Schools Program" and have qualified to receive a set of equipment to use at W.E. Cundiff.  We anticipate starting this program for all upper grade levels later this spring

Field Day T-shirt Design Contest is underway.  Submit your design to Mr. Hughes by May 11th.  Your design must be in black and white and on 8 1/2 x 10 white paper.  Be creative!!
