Students, have you or someone you know been affected by cancer?  A new cancer awareness club is forming at William Byrd.  The club is called "For the Cure" and meets Mondays after school in Room 211.  If you are interested, please join us today after school.  Everyone is welcome!

Any student interested in joining this year's Outdoor Boys and Girls track teams come by Room 105 to talk to Coach Royal.  Outdoor track practice will begin Feb. 20 so make sure to see Coach Royal no later than Feb. 15.

Juniors and Seniors:  Job shadowing is a new program this year that allows you to spend a day in a career of your choice.  This is a great way to help you make important career decisions.  If you are interested, see Ms. Campbell in the Guidance Office for an application through February 10th.

Any AP students that have AP and SAT practice books you are no longer using please donate them to the Career Center. Anyone that would like to borrow one of these practice books, just ask!

Seniors, do you plan to attend Virginia Western Community College?  If yes and you need help completing the application, applying for financial aid, or even directions to campus to take the COMPASS test, stop by and see your Career Coach, Mrs. Campbell, in the Guidance dept.

Seniors, if you need help planning your future or how to get financial aid for college, come to the Career Center and meet with Ms. Campbell, our Career Coach.

She can also help you with a career assessment and education plan.

If you have any questions about college choices, SAT and ACT testing and/or scholarship information?  Stop by and get a pass from Mr. Graves to come and visit the Career Center during academic extra help.
