Prom tickets are now on sale!

Seniors can purchase their tickets at $50 each the week of April 13th-17th.

Sales open to Juniors starting April 20th at $55 each until May 1st.

Buy your tickets early.  Last minute ticket price is $60 each starting May 4th-6th.

No tickets will be sold after May 6th or at the door!

All non-WBHS dates must have a form on file with Mrs. Farrington. 
Date forms are available outside Room 230 and in the main office.

See Mrs. Farrington with any questions.

All obligations to the school, detentions and Saturday Schools must be served before the day of the event.

Seniors:  If you want to enter the Cutest Baby Picture contest, take your great picture to Mrs. Sartell in the Career Center.

Any Senior interested in participating in the Baccalaureate Service as a speaker of performer should see Mrs. Acker or Meagan Fry by May 8th.

Seniors:  Tickets for the Honor Banquet will be on sale in the cafeteria during lunches on May 7th.  Invited seniors eat free; all other guest tickets are $20 a piece.

Yearbooks are only on sale until May 4th for $65.  New yearbook features include exclusive video content, plus a free digital version of the book with purchase.  For $5 extra, you can get a personalized nameplate, but orders must be completed by April 20th.  Use the link on the website or see Mrs. Renard in Room 249 to order.

Positive Body Positive Mind is a club about creating a healthy body image and practicing self-love.  Anyone can join.  All you have to bring is a positive attitude.  Meetings will be held Tuesday mornings at 8:00.  See Ms. Thornton for more information.

Attention Book Club: Our last meeting of the year will be Friday, May 22nd in Room 118 to discuss The Eyes of the Dragon by Stephen King.

Beta Club hours forms are due Friday, May 8th.  Remember, you need 10 service hours to get your graduation cords. 

Students traveling to Ireland need to see Ms. Carr in Room 211 for some important information.  Our next meeting is Monday, April 27th at 6pm in Ms. Carr's room.

Back by popular demand, the senior class will be selling dishcloths until supplies run out.  The dishcloths are great for washing cars, dusting, and they make great Christmas presents.  Prices $16 for 12, $8 for 6, $2 for a single cloth.  For more information, contact the senior sponsor, Mrs. Acker.

From the NURSE:  Students may carry cough drops, 1 dose Tylenol, 1 dose ibuprofen. The Clinic does not supply any cold/cough medication.


From the College and Career Center:

Representatives of the Virgina Western Communtiy College Art Club will be at WBHS on Friday to speak about the art program and art club.  Sign up in the Career Center to receive a pass.

VWCC Kids College Program:  Summer fun focused on STEM topics.  See Mrs. Sartell in the Career Center for more details.


Volunteer opportunity :Medi Home Health and Hospice needs volunteers ages 16 to 18.  See Mrs. Sartell in the Career Center if you are interested.

Virginia Western is offering several workshops to help students maximize placement test scores.  Space is limited.  See Mrs. Sartell in the Career Center for more information.

If you have earned Dual Enrollment credit, please make sure that you have your Virginia Western Transcript sent to the college of your choice as soon as possible.  You may pick up the form from Guidance, or print the form from the link on the Guidance Page on the WBHS website.  Once you have completed the form, you can have your guidance counselor fax the form to Western, or you can mail the form to Western.

If you are a Sophomore and want to improve your leadership skills you may want to attend the Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership or HOBY State Leadership Seminar.  See Mrs. Browning in Guidance for more information.

Junior and Senior Girls:  Belk at Valley View is hosting a Prom Event.  Walk the store in Prom dresses, hand out coupons, get paid hourly, receive a discount and potentially be hired as a summer sales associate.  See Mrs. Sartell to participate!
