William Byrd You Tube Announcements

The Radio Club will meet after school on Thursday, May 28th in the office conference room. We will be having a dinner at Frank's Pizza after the meeting. See Dr. Turner for questions.

Jostens class ring representative will be here on Friday, May 29th during all lunches in the Cafeteria area to collect final balances and deliver class rings.  Final balances must be paid with cash or moneyorder; no personal checks will be accepted. You may also pre-pay online any time before Friday, May 29th or call1-800-JOSTENS. New class ring orders can be placed for any Sophomore, Junior or Senior with a $50 deposit.

Senior Videos are available at five dollars.  See Abbey Dillard or any member of the Byrd Broadcast Team.

Attention students taking a summer online course:  Registration Form must be turned in to your counselor and payment made to Mrs. Conner by May 29th.

Sports Physicals for the 2015-2016 school year will be given at the school on June 3rd at 1:30.  The price is $15.  Contact your coach for more information.

Seniors:  If you want to enter the Cutest Baby Picture contest, take your great picture to Mrs. Sartell in the Career Center.

Positive Body Positive Mind is a club about creating a healthy body image and practicing self-love.  Anyone can join.  All you have to bring is a positive attitude.  Meetings will be held Tuesday mornings at 8:00.  See Ms. Thornton for more information.

From the NURSE:  Students may carry cough drops, 1 dose Tylenol, 1 dose ibuprofen. The Clinic does not supply any cold/cough medication.

 

From the College and Career Center:

If you took the ASVAB you may pick up a copy of your results in Guidance.   See Mrs. Sartell.

VWCC Kids College Program:  Summer fun focused on STEM topics.  See Mrs. Sartell in the Career Center for more details.

 

Volunteer opportunity :Medi Home Health and Hospice needs volunteers ages 16 to 18.  See Mrs. Sartell in the Career Center if you are interested.

If you have earned Dual Enrollment credit, please make sure that you have your Virginia Western Transcript sent to the college of your choice as soon as possible.  You may pick up the form from Guidance, or print the form from the link on the Guidance Page on the WBHS website.  Once you have completed the form, you can have your guidance counselor fax the form to Western, or you can mail the form to Western.

If you are a Sophomore and want to improve your leadership skills you may want to attend the Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership or HOBY State Leadership Seminar.  See Mrs. Browning in Guidance for more information.
