This week is holiday spirit week:
Mon.- 12/15 wear a scarf.
Tues.- 12/16 wear a tacky sweater
Wed.- 12/17 wear white and hope for snow.
Thurs.-12/18 dress as a character from your favorite holiday movie
Friday-12/19 wear a holiday hat or headband
During lunches each day there will be a table set up to enter in a raffle to win a holiday prize. In order to enter the raffle, you must participate in holiday spirit week. Each day a winner will be drawn and announced at the end of the day.
Attention International Club:Our potluck during all lunches this Friday, December 19th in Mrs. Damasco's room. Please remember to sign up to bring a food item of your choice. Sign up at Room 113.
Attention both faculty and staff: It's that time of year again. Our school's literary and art magazine, Sketches, needs your work. Submit your photos, art work, poetry, short stories, and essays. See Ms. Oliver in Room 118 with any questions. Submit by January 16th.
Attention Book Club Members: Our next read is The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian by Sherman Alexie.We will meet after school on Friday, December 19th in Room 118 from 3:30-4:30. Don't forget to bring snacks to share and a book for the Holiday Book Exchange. See Ms. Oliver if you have questions.
The Senior Faculty Games will be held during 4th Block, Friday, December 19th. Tickets are $2.00 for students and can be purchased at lunches starting Wed. Come see this fun tradition and support seniors as they attempt to show the teachers who's boss! Or, support the faculty who always win.

Back by popular demand, the senior class will be selling dishcloths until supplies run out. The dishcloths are great for washing cars, dusting, and they make great Christmas presents. Prices $16 for 12, $8 for 6, $2 for a single cloth. For more information, contact the senior sponsor, Mrs. Acker.
From the College and Career Center:
December SATs are approaching. Students must bring their Admission Tickets. They can print them by logging in to My SAT and clicking Print Admission Ticket. Students should confirm their test center locations by checking their Admission Tickets. It's important to arrive on time. Some students my have to arrange transportation in advance. Bring two no. 2 pencils (no mechanical pencils), an eraser. calculator with fresh batteries, and a snack. Be sure to turn your cell phones off before testing!
If you have earned Dual Enrollment credit, please make sure that you have your Virginia Western Transcript sent to the college of your choice as soon as possible. You may pick up the form from Guidance, or print the form from the link on the Guidance Page on the WBHS website. Once you have completed the form, you can have your guidance counselor fax the form to Western, or you can mail the form to Western.
Seniors who operate their own business are eligible to receive a 2015 NFIB Young Entrepreneur Award . You must apply by Dec. 18th, 2014. See Mrs. Sartell in the C Center for a pass.
If you are a Sophomore and want to improve your leadership skills you may want to attend the Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership or HOBY State Leadership Seminar. See Mrs. Browning in Guidance for more information.
See Mrs. Sartell if you are interested in an apprenticeship in Heating, Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, Process Piping and Environmental Systems Trades. Applications are due in mid-January.
