The purpose of Bandfest 2012 is three-fold. The event is designed to provide a venue for valley students to showcase their music, have fun and also hear exciting messages to encourage students to follow their dreams and avoid risky behaviors. Several local student bands will compete for cash prizes and the winning title.
This is a valley-wide event for young people in middle school and high school. It is sponsored by Roanoke County, Roanoke City, Salem City and Botetourt School Divisions as well as the Prevention Council, RAYSAC and the Roanoke County Public Schools Education Foundation.
