Vocabulary in Context

A clown sat in a field beyond the circus tents.  He wanted to think of new ways to make children laugh.  "Maybe I could show them my collection of bright red clown noses," he said.  "Or maybe I should grow a long, curly mustache."  He thought about these ideas seriously.  Then he said, "No, what I need is a new trick!"

He fastened a strap to his eyeglasses so they would no fall off.  He raised his arms overhead and did a cartwheel.  It was fun, but it wasn't a great trick.  Then another clown walked by.  They did cartwheels at the same time, waving their big, funny shoes in the air. "Now this is a funny trick!" said the clown happily.
