CLASSIFY AND CATEGORIZE
* When you classify, you group together several things that have something in common.
* When you tell how the parts of the group are alike, you categorize them.
Reptiles can be found in most places throughout the world. They are found both on the land and in the water. Most lizards and snakes live in places that have warm weather. Desert tortoises and Gila monsters prefer hot, dry desert areas. Pythons and anacondas- two kinds of snakes that grow to be very large- live in moist, tropical areas. Some reptiles make their homes in oceans, lakes, and rivers. For example, marine iguanas and sea turtles live in the ocean most of the time. Sea snakes spend their entire lives in the water. Crocodiles and alligators live both in the land and in the water.
