Cheering for Javier

People play soccer for fun, but, for my cousin Javier, it is a job.  He is a professional soccer player.  I watch his games so often that all the players on his team are familiar to me.  I know all their names and their numbers, too.  Javier is the team's leader.  He is its captain.

Javier played a great game on Saturday.  As he moved toward the goal with the ball, he pretended he was going to shoot toward the left corner.  Then, at the last second, he aimed at the right corner instead.  The goalie was fooled.  Javier kicked the ball, the ball went in, and we all applauded and shouted, "Goal!"  My family clapped and cheered the loudest of all.  We were so excited that the park monitor had to ask us to sit down.
