Penn Forest Elementary utilizes the Accelerated Reader software program to enhance the reading experience for our students. After reading a particular book, the student will logon to the system and take a quiz that checks their understanding of the book. The student earns points based on the grade level of the book and the number of questions that were answered correctly. The number of questions asked varies by book level. Students may earn awards based on the number of points received during a given period of time and each grade level is responsible for the management of this program..
The Penn Forest Accelerated Reader Library currently contains 4,650 titles. New quizzes are purchased on a regular basis and this website is updated with the new quiz titles. Quizzes are purchased from Renaissance Learning, Inc. using proceeds from the Penn Forest Book Fairs and by funds provided by the PTA. You support is greatly appreciated.
The majority of the quizzes we have are for books that can be found in our library and most of these books are labeled and easily identifiable. The book level and points are indicated on the label.
