Senior News
Senior breakfast and Field day will
be held on May 24. The day will start with breakfast at the Holiday Inn
and will follow with lunch and free time at the stadium. All seniors
participating in the breakfast MUST report
to the school on time and ride the bus provided to the breakfast. Seniors
are NOT
allowed to drive to the breakfast.
The Baccalaureate service will be
held Sunday June 2 at 3:00p.m. at Melrose Baptist Church. The seniors will
be in cap and gown for the optional ceremony. Seniors must meet in
the Fellowship Hall at the church at 2:30 in shirts and ties for boys and
neat dresses for girls. Shoes should be appropriate for a church event.
The ceremony should conclude around 4:00 p.m.
Graduation
commencement is scheduled for June 7, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. at the Salem Civic
Center. Seniors need to be there by 4:00 p.m. The appropriate attire for
graduation is cap and gown. Girls should wear light colored dresses and
appropriate shoes. Boys should wear long dress pants and dress shoes as
well as a light colored dress shirt and tie.
Please
remember that graduation is optional. It is a DIGNIFIED ceremony that will
be cherished by the participants for many years. Any dress or action that
detracts from the ceremony will not be tolerated and those persons will be
removed from the stage or audience.
