Roanoke Valley Television - Channel 3
Roanoke Valley Television (Cox Cable - Channel 3) is the Government and Educational Access Station for the City of Roanoke, County of Roanoke, Town of Vinton and their respective school systems. The RVTV Studio is located within the Jefferson Center in downtown Roanoke. Roanoke Valley Television produces many monthly television shows, original video programming, and cablecast live government and educational meetings.

Regular Series:
RVTV produces original television programs to inform citizens about government and educational programs and services.
Roanoke County Today features segments designed to inform County residents about County services and events. You can see Roanoke County Today Mondays and Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m., and Sundays at 3:30 p.m.
Accent Excellence takes a look at exciting programs and activities of the Roanoke County Public School System. You can watch Accent Excellence on RVTV Tuesdays at 7:30 p.m., Wednesdays at 8:30 p.m. and Thursdays at 10:30 a.m.
Roanoke County Business Partners showcases the successes of the Roanoke County business community. Tune in Tuesdays at 9:30 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. to see Roanoke County Business Partners.
Focus on Crime Prevention gives citizens information on the Roanoke County Police Department’s efforts to keep Roanoke County safe and free of crime. The Focus on Crime Prevention series can be seen during our regular programming schedule.
Meetings:
RVTV cablecast the Roanoke County Board of Supervisors meetings to keep citizens informed of the decisions made at board meetings. RVTV cablecast these meetings in their entirety. The Roanoke County Board of Supervisors meet on the second Tuesday of each month at 3 p.m. and on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Meetings are cablecast live and replayed at 7 p.m. on the following Thursday, and on the following Saturday at 4 p.m.
Programs and the Message Board:
There is always something interesting to watch on RVTV. In addition to live meetings and regular series, RVTV cablecast a variety of government and educational programs. These programs give Roanoke County residents the opportunity to learn in-depth information about topics such as Spring Hollow, the Roanoke County Parks, Recreation & Tourism department and the new Roanoke County Bulk and Brush guidelines. When no programming is being cablecast, you can watch the RVTV Message Board. Citizens can view information ranging from upcoming Roanoke County Parks, Recreation & Tourism events to school activities and job opportunities.
