Bush to Continue as HVHS Girls' Basketball Coach
For Hidden Valley’s Randy Bush, the title of “Head Girls’ Basketball Coach” has stuck. Bush has been selected to continue as the head coach of the Hidden Valley girls’ basketball team. Bush stepped in to lead the Lady Titans last year after head coach Brenda King developed cancer and could no longer coach the team.
Under Bush’s leadership, the Lady Titans went to the state Final Four, losing to Turner Ashby in the semifinals.
Bush is no stranger to coaching at Hidden Valley. In 2005 and 2006, he was an assistant coach for the boys’ basketball team. In 2006, Bush also became the head coach for the boys’ JV football team. In 2008, he was named the assistant coach for the girls’ basketball team before assuming the head coach position due to King’s illness.
"Randy has proven himself as a head coach in taking the girls’ team to the final four, and we look forward to having him solidify that position for the next several years," said Hidden Valley High School Athletic Director Chris Morris.
