Herman L Horn to "Go Green" This Earth Day and Arbor Day

Students at Herman L. Horn Elementary School in Vinton are “going green” for Earth day. Students will plant 50 seedlings on April 22 and having an Earth/Arbor day celebration on April 24 at 1:30.

Each class will plant two seedlings throughout the day on April 22. At the outdoor assembly on the 24th, students will sing an Earth day rap, fifth graders will be "dressed in trash" leading the student body in the rap.

Special guests from 4-H, Town of Vinton and Lowe’s will be present to help dedicate a new storage building to hold recyclable materials, which the Town of Vinton will pick-up on a bi-weekly basis.
