Statement concerning threatening message at CSMS

On Friday, May 28, 2010, a threatening message was found at Cave Spring Middle School. Through the efforts of Roanoke County Police and school officials, the person who made the threat was identified and appropriate actions have been taken.

“At no point were the students or staff at Cave Spring Middle School in any danger,” said Roanoke County Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Lorraine Lange. “We wanted parents to be informed about the facts of the situation and to be assured the school is safe,” Lange added.

No weapons were involved in this incident. Further information is not available at this time.
