You can be part of the new Cave Spring Middle School!
As part of the ongoing construction of the new Cave Spring Middle School, project designers with Spectrum Design are planning to create a special memory wall containing photos dating back through the years to when the original Cave Spring High School opened in 1956. The wall will include a panel to represent each decade in the school’s history.
To accomplish this task, Roanoke County Public Schools and Spectrum Design are seeking photo submissions from the public. The deadline to submit photos is March 15. Not all photos submitted may be used.
“We’re looking for all sorts of photos from former students at the old Cave Spring High School, Cave Spring Junior High School and Cave Spring Elementary,” said Community Relations Specialist Chuck Lionberger. “We need photos from every decade in the school’s history from the 50’s to today. We’re looking for pictures of various school events, athletics, performances, students, staff, anything that happened at the school.” Lionberger added.
Electronic versions of photos are preferred. People can email photos to csmspictures@rcs.k12.va.us.
Those wishing to submit printed photos can mail them to:

All photos must include the date (month/year) when they were taken so designers can place them in the proper decade panel.
