Williams named new assistant principal at Green Valley Elementary

The Roanoke County School Board has named Ashley Williams as the new assistant principal at Green Valley Elementary School.  Williams replaces Marcee Cook who earlier was named the assistant principal at Hidden Valley Middle School.

Williams, who currently serves as the reading specialist at Green Valley, first joined Roanoke County Public Schools in 2004 as a teacher at W.E. Cundiff Elementary School.  In 2009, Williams moved to Green Valley Elementary.

Williams holds a bachelor’s degree from Radford University, a master’s degree from Virginia Tech and obtained her administrative endorsement from the University of Virginia.

“Ashley has been a wonderful reading specialist here at Green Valley and I’m happy she is joining our administrative team,” said Green Valley Elementary Principal Ashley McCallum.
