View Elementary would like to thank Oakey's for their generosity to
provide funding to sponsor four students to represent our school in the
All-Virginia Elementary Chorus Festival on March 26, 2011
- Encourages a positive self-image and a positive attitude towards music as an art form.
- Seeks to develop every student's awareness of the impact of music on their daily life. Through the study of music the student's cultural heritage can be explored.
- Encourages active participation through sequential musical experiences based on the elements of music.
These enjoyable and meaningful experiences promote the individual's musical growth through performance, creativity, interpretation, listening, written expression, cooperative learning, and critical thinking.
