Second Grade
Students will:
- understand the relationship of academic achievement to current and future success in school. (Academic)
- work cooperatively in small and large groups towards a common goal. (Academic)
- use study skills and test-taking strategies. (Academic)
- understand the importance of teamwork in working towards a common goal. (Career)
- exhibit the principles of character, including honesty, trustworthiness, respect for the rights and property of others, respect for rules and laws, taking responsibility for one's actions, fairness, caring and citizenship. (Personal/Social)
- understand that Americans are one people of many diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds and national origins who are united as Americans by common customs and traditions. (Personal/Social)
Schedule
Mrs.Humphries' Class - Monday - 1:00 - 1:30
Mr. Garman's Class - Tuesday - 1:00 - 1:30
Mrs. Shaffer's Class - Thursday - 1:00- 1:30
Classes begin in August. All academic standards are covered first. The personal/social standards will be covered in April. Small group counseling will be offered on a variety of topics from January through March. Watch for information on these to be sent home with your child in December.
