The gifted screening process is underway for students in grades K-12. Parents who feel that their child should be screened for placement in the gifted program should contact the school counselor for more information.

We wanted to let our families know about these 2 policy changes: Policy 8.01.04 was updated to prohibit the use of cell phones in locker-room and restroom areas. Policy 3.29 was updated to prohibit the use of electronic cigarettes on school bus, school property, or at school sponsored activities.

Afternoon Pick-up Procedure: If your child is an afternoon car rider, we ask that you come into the foyer and at 2:20 pm, a staff member will be there to allow you to sign your child out.  As they are dismissed, students will come to the foyer to meet their parents.  Thank you for helping us make safety a priority.

Congratulations to Mount Pleasant School and community for receiving the 2015 Title 1 Distinguished School Award. This award is based on student achievement during the 2011-13 and 2013-14 school years.

Great News! We made our goal for this year’s PTA Walkathon! Thanks to all of you for your support!!


For school safety, starting on January 5, 2015, in the mornings, parent walking students past the foyer will need a visitor’s badge. Afternoon pick-up will be modified to have us call for your child. Please call me at 427-1879 if you have any questions.
