NEWS:

TRYOUTS FOR CHEERLEADING WILL BE MAY 14TH- MAY 17TH AFTER SCHOOL.  MANDATORY PARENT MEETING WILL BE MAY 20TH TIME TBA.  IN ORDER TO TRY-OUT ATHLETES MUST HAVE A NEW PHYSICAL DATED AFTER MAY 1ST 2013 FOR THE CURRENT SCHOOL YEAR.  MAKE APPOINTMENTS NOW AND AVOID LAST MINUTE HASSLES.

CHEER OPEN GYM DATES:

April 30th 3:30-5:30pm in the gym

May 7th 3:30-5:30pm in the gym

If raining on these dates then open gym will be in the cafeteria.

VOLLEYBALL OPEN GYMS

• Wednesday, May 1st 3:30-5:30 (UNLESS RAINING)
• Wednesday, May 8th 3:30-5:30 (UNLESS RAINING)
• Wednesday, May 22st 3:30-5:30
• Wednesday, May 29th 3:30-5:30

Rising 6th and 7th graders are welcome.  Tryouts for HVMS volleyball will be August 5, 6, and 7th. Athletes must have a current physical dated after May 1st 2013 to be able to participate.  Please email coach Karen Freeland at kfreeland@spectrumsportsacademy.com if you have any questions.

Any current 8th grade student interested in playing golf next year at HVHS is encouraged to attend a meeting right after school on May 2nd at 3:30 in the cafeteria with the HS golf coach, Mr. Harris.

Reminders: SCHOOL YEAR 2013-2014

• Completed physicals dated 05/01/13 to the present for the 2013-2014 school year can be turned in to Mrs. Cook in the front office.  Student-athletes without a current physical will NOT be permitted to participate on athletic teams in any capacity.

• Appointments for physical exams can sometimes be very difficult to get scheduled at many local physicians' offices. Please try to make your appointments now if your child is planning to participate in a winter/spring sport and does not have a current physical. Please feel free to call the main office should you have any questions.
