T REES

This is what we could see from the library window when school started in August 2003.

Then they pushed the trees down.

The lower branches were removed first from our two big pines trees out front.

Then they were pushed over with the backhoe.

When the trees are laying on the ground the bulldozer can move some out of the way.

The backhoe moves the big ones.

The shredder chews up all the big branches into little tiny pieces of mulch.

Sadly, our big oak tree had to be removed also. Here is it's trunk and the uprooted stump, moved to the middle of the old ball field. It once stood tall and proud near the buses at the left of the picture.
