RENOVATION PHOTOS

The changing face of H. L. Horn Elementary.

The new brick of the expansion meets with the old cornerstone, 44 years later.

The trees had to be cleared first.

Many signs and posts had to be taken out of the ground.

Our school buses will park in a new place.

Beside the new bus loop will be a storm-water holding pond.

The playground is being moved out of the way for the new classrooms.

The view from the library window lets you see the machines remove the curb, sidewalk, and pavement.

The foundation for the additional classrooms is a lot of dirt and concrete.

The first blocks for the foundation are placed.

Many materials, parts, and tools will be used to make the building.

The floor of the building will be one large, smooth piece of concrete.

One brick at a time, the walls go up quickly with so many people helping.

During Winter Break, workers removed the old ceiling from much of the hallway.

See a corner of the addition get built one step at a time.

During the fall of 2004, many of our staff improvised space to get their jobs done.

The new Library Media Center is growing behind the building!
