M ATERIALS FOR B UILDING

Many blocks are cut in diffent shapes so that they can fit together in unusual ways.

Lots of steel will be part of the building. Here you can see the steel roof beams, corner and support posts, electrical conduit (pipes for electrical wires), and other parts.

These are steel doorways to be installed in all the new classrooms.

Have you seen all these orange caps on the steel rods? They help keep the workers from getting hurt on the rods.

Here is one of the saws they use to cut the block. It has a water hose going to it to cool the blade while it is cutting the concete block.

This is a corner of the new addition that has been set up as a workshop of the electrical work. The workers use this space to cut and bend the conduit pipes for the electrical wire.

This is a sample of the new brick exterior, sitting in front of the old existing brick work. The colors match nicely, don't you think?
