Student Assistance Program

The Student Assistance Program or SAP at Glenvar High School offers individual counseling and group support to students with a variety of issues and needs.  The main purpose of this service is to provide support and intervene with social, emotional, or behavioral issues that are interfering with a student's success here at GHS.  Please note that all services are confidential, voluntary, and require parent or guardian permission. SAP goals for 2006 at GHS are to increase student awareness pertaining to bullying as well as the risks of substance use.  As a result, we are focused on decreasing the prevalence and frequency of bullying and decreasing student involvement with current and potential future substance use.  We intend to offer additional parent support  to further intervene with student issues and needs.
