Glenvar Avenger 5K RESULTS...   SuperMEN - 5k times complete - males    SuperWOMEN - 5k times complete - female

U.S. News and World Report has published their list of the best high schools in the nation for 2013. Included in this list are Cave Spring High School, Glenvar High School and Hidden Valley High School. Schools were ranked both on a national scale and on a state scale. This is the second year Cave Spring and Hidden Valley high schools were included in the Best High Schools list. Glenvar High School is a new addition to this year's list. All three schools earned Silver medals.

Schools were ranked within each state, as well as on a national stage, so families can see how their public high school stacked up against rivals within the community and across the country. Glenvar, Cave Spring and Hidden Valley are also ranked within the TOP 50 schools in Virginia!  In the national rankings, 500 schools earned gold medals, 1,790 were awarded silver and 2,515 took home bronze.  There are over 26,000 public high schools in the U.S..

On that note, I would like to say thank you to our staff, students and their families.  We would not have received this recognition without the hard work of all involved!

King's Dominion Senior Field trip date has been changed to Tuesday, May 28th.

Our PTSO Officers for 2012-13 are:   Marsha Jones - President,  Dreama Neikirk - President Elect,  Kelly Phlegar - Treasurer,  Susan Ford - Secretary.  Lisa Wiley will take over heading up the After-Prom committee.  We are looking forward to an exciting 2012-2013 year and would like all of our families to become charter members of the Glenvar High School PTSO!
