Third Grade Goals:

• To provide the students with an environment that promotes learning.
• To meet each child’s individual educational needs.
• To help the students transition from primary grades to upper elementary grades where more independence, organization, and studying are required.
• To encourage independent reading at home and school and increase comprehension skills.
• To provide test taking awareness and study strategies necessary for success on the SOL tests.

How You Can Help Your Child:

• Check and sign assignment books nightly
• Check homework and review content each night
• Encourage Accelerated Reader program
• Encourage student responsibility
