Glenvar Elementary School has been designated as a Title I school. Title I is a federally funded assistance program under the No Child Left Behind Act which was signed into law on January 8, 2002. Funds received through this law enable Roanoke County Public Schools to provide opportunities for supplemental services to students working toward the achievement of academic standards established by the Virginia Department of Education.
