“Pack Light and Wear it Right”
- Load
the heaviest books in first placing them near your back
- Only
bring home what you NEED
- Adjust
the shoulder straps so the pack fits snuggly
- The
bottom of the pack should never rest below the lower back (No more then 4
inches from the waistline).
- Use
a rolling backpack if your school approves.
- Use
both shoulder straps!!
- A
backpack that is too heavy can cause back, neck and muscle strain/pain.
- Wearing
the backpack incorrectly can cause curvature of the spine.
- Aching
muscles, tingling arms and poor posture can result from bad habits.
