Welcome to Fort Lewis Elementary!

This is the time to form Destination Imagination teams for anyone interested.  Teams are divided by "Rising Stars" - kindergarten through 2nd grade and elementary teams for 3rd -5th grade.  (The program continues through high school, but teams compete at the grade level of the OLDEST team member.)  If you are interested in being a team manager and forming your own team, please contact Ellen Thomsen (ethomsen@rcs.k12.va.us).  Competitive teams have a maximum of 7 team members, at least 4 or 5 are recommended.  General information and video clips are available through the regional website:  www.createroanoke.org 

 There will be a regional Team Manager training session Saturday, Dec. 4th from 9-12 in our school library.  This is most beneficial to new team managers - or anyone who wants to learn more information and may be considering managing a team.  9-10:30 will be specifically focused as an overview and introduction to managing for new team managers, returning team managers who would like to attend will be joining the training at 10:30.  If you plan to attend the training, please RSVP to Ellen Thomsen by Dec. 3rd.
