| History |
CSMS was originally
built as Cave Spring High School in 1956. In 1966, a new high school was built and
the vacated building became Cave Spring Junior High, the first junior high in Roanoke
County. At the end of the 2001-2002 school year, we said good-bye to our ninth graders and
became Cave Spring Middle School.
The end of the
2010-2011 school year was our last year in the circa 1956 building.
Demolition began in July which will be followed by renovations and
rebuilding. Our 6th and 7th graders will attend classes at Hidden
Valley Middle School and the 8th graders at Cave Spring High School
for the duration of the renovations and rebuilding.
