50th Anniversary Facilities Project

The existing sport facilities at Cave Spring High School now require much work to repair and maintain.  Conditions are such that full renovation of the facility is required to correct track, erosion, and landscaping problems.  In recognition of the approaching 50th Anniversary of Cave Spring High School Project 50! was initiated. Project 50! provides for renovation of the track, football practice field, and the soccer field.

P50! Contribution Form

Cave Spring Assistant Cross Country Coach Laurence Loesel, a Cave Spring High School alumni, proposed the 50th Anniversary Facilities Project - Project 50!.  In recognition of the magnitude of the project and the project finances, Coach Loesel has proposed to publicize the project in support of Fund Raising by running across America.   In early May, 2003, Coach Loesel and his support team plan to begin running, the  Cave Spring Knight's Crossing", starting in San Francisco and ending, approximately 3000 miles and 75 days later, at Cave Spring High School.   The Project fund Raising will depend heavily on the contributions of Cave Spring High School’s Alumni Family, grants, and donations from local corporations.

Running Across America is planned to be the centerpiece for the Project 50! Fund Raising.  The Project’s specific renovation plans will be added to this, 50th Anniversary, page in the near future.  The Cave Spring Knight's Crossing" status, current route, and estimated completion date, will be maintained in near daily updates to the 50th Anniversary web page to enable monitoring of progress.

The project is co-sponsored by the CSHS PTSA and the CSHS Boosters Club and supported by the Band club as well other organizations.  The 50th Anniversary Facilities Project  Sponsors
