Student Assistant Program (SAP)
The Student Assistance Program or SAP at Cave Spring High School (CSHS) offers individual and group counseling to students with a variety of issues and needs. The main purpose of this service is to provide support and intervene with social, emotional, and behavioral issues that are interfering with a student's success at Cave Spring. Please note that all services are confidential, voluntary and require parent or guardian permission.
SAP goals at CSHS are to assist in promoting student wellness through individual counseling and group support with a focus on teaching skills that will help students cope with problems and stressors and manage their emotions and behaviors more effectively. Specific areas addressed through SAP include but are not limited to the following areas:

In addition to providing individual counseling and group support in the above areas, the SAP at CSHS is directly involved in school-wide efforts to increase student awareness and decrease student participation in certain negative behaviors such as bullying and substance use and abuse.
We also intend to be a resource for parents with children facing these issues by offering parent support groups and education resources focused on the areas above.
If there is any way I can help your student be more successful at CSHS please contact me:
