From the Principal's Desk

Welcome to Clearbrook Elementary School. Clearbrook is an elementary school located in southwest Roanoke County, Virginia which serves approximately 250 students in grades PK-5. The student-teacher ratio averages 20:1. In 1999, a two million dollar building expansion project was completed which added eight new classrooms.  Additionally,  major renovations to the existing building were completed at that time. Each classroom is equipped with one or more computers networked to the internet. Our school also has a Dell computer lab for classroom instruction, two lap top carts, and a set of 20 iPod Touches.  Additionally, each classroom is equipped with an electronic white board.
      Clearbrook is a wonderful place to work and to learn. The school serves as the focus of the community. PTA membership has averaged 130% during the last six years, and our parents support the school's programs and events. Due to our size we are like "one big family". Clearbrook's children benefit from the personal touch provided by each staff member. We are able to meet a wide variety of student needs through small group instruction. Our students participate in the Accelerated Reader Program which provides incentives for independent reading.  As a Title 1 school, we are proud of our students' achievement. Our school was recognized by the State of Virginia as a Distinguished Title I school in May of 2006, 2007, 2008,  and li2009.  Our goal is to provide an environment where each student grows, learns and feels at home.
