The PTA at Burlington Elementary
School is a pro-active organization that is dedicated to the educational development of
our students and continual improvement of our learning environment. PTA involvement
encompasses teacher interaction and assistance, expanded student learning programs,
supplemental property maintenance and an array of cultural, educational and social
activities for our students, faculty and staff.
The exceptional working
relationship between our parents, the teachers and the staff enable the PTA to accomplish
it's primary purpose; ensuring the comprehensive educational welfare of our students.
Our volunteer network consists of more than two hundred active parents and is the
foundation for what our PTA achieves on an annual basis.
The Burlington PTA is a
non-profit organization. While fundraising is not our first priority, money is
raised each year through at least two activities planned by the parents.
In
the past, money raised by the PTA has supplemented our school with additional computers,
software, playground equipment, audio-visual equipment, learning incentive
programs, and
outdoor community track, student field trips and classroom instructional enhancements.
Our children are students
today; our leaders tomorrow! A school's PTA can make a significant difference in the
preparation of these children for tomorrow's challenges. The parents and teachers of
Burlington Elementary School recognize this and are working together to pave the way for
our students.
