We, at Burlington Elementary School, recognize that educating your child involves a team approach, one that involves teachers, other staff members, administrators, parents, and our children. With everyone working together, we can accomplish great things. Our mission is educating your child to the best of his or her ability by providing learning experiences based on the Roanoke County School's Curriculum Guides and the Standards of Learning.
Thank you,
Ms. Amy Shank,  Principal

Exxon Mobil Grant

Burlington Elementary School has received a $750 grant from the ExxonMobile Educational Alliance program to support the school's math and science programs.  Mr. Rob Hendren of Stop In # 128, the Exxon "On The Run" station at 2825 Hershberger Road, worked with school officials to secure the grant, which is one of 2,400 available to schools across the country served by Exxon or Mobil stations.  The grants were made possible by funding from the ExxonMobil Corporation.

"Burlington Elementary School works hard to make learning interesting and fun," said Mr. Hendren.  "As an Exxon retailer, I am proud to help young people of Burlington Elementary School."

The ExxonMobile Educational Alliance program is designed to provide Exxon and Mobil retailers with an opportunity to invest in the future of their communities through educational grants to neighborhood schools.  ExxonMobil believes that, as members of the community, local retailers are best qualified to work with local educators to help identify schools and programs most in need of support.

Stop In # 128 met stringent eligibility criteria before applying for and being awarded this grant, including having a commitment to provide a superior buying experience for customers.
