Class dates, times, and costs are indicated individually for each course. Do not wait to register, since a minimum enrollment must be met for a class to begin. Registrants will not receive notification of acceptance into their respective courses but should attend the first class meeting and will receive a receipt at the first class meeting. Registrants will be notified only if the requested course has been filled or canceled.
All registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Our office is located inside the Burton Center for Arts and Technology.
Monday - Friday 8 a.m.- 3 p.m. Who can enroll? Adult Education programs are provided as an educational service to residents of Virginia. All adults may attend regardless of educational level or residence.
You may register in person or by mail. The full course fee must be paid at the time of registration. Checks are to be made payable to BCAT, and mailed to Adult Education, 1758 Boulevard, Salem, VA 24153.
Refunds will be given in case of class cancellation. Refunds will not be given if this office is not notified 48 hours in advance or if participants withdraw after class has begun.
When Roanoke County Public Schools cancel day school classes, adult night classes will be cancelled. Direct questions regarding cancellation of evening classes to 562-3900 extension 29009 after 3:00 p.m.
Senior citizens age 60 and over receive a 10 percent discount. (Please deduct this amount when registering.)
