CRLS Research Guide
This guide was complied by Holly Samuels, a librarian at Cambridge Rindge and Latin School .  It includes suggested topics and links to a site at Old Dominion University that allows the user to enter a general subject to see a whole list of specialized topics. 

A Guide for Writing MLA Style Research Papers
This site breaks down the process of writing a research paper.  Read closely the sections on taking notes, using outlines, plagiarism, using quotations, and formatting.  You will also need to read Roanoke County 's policy on plagiarism.

Using MLA
This link, authored by the Purdue University Online Writing Lab, shows how to use MLA format.  Links provide examples of internal documentation and works cited lists as well as answering basic formatting questions.

Skim the descriptions of the ABC's for web evaulation that Kathy Schrock discusses in this article.  Your librarians and teachers will review these criteria with you as you begin your research.
