Esp.III/Art Presentation

You and a partner will create an exhibit of a Hispanic artist. Your exhibit should include: Biographical information, a description of the artist, examples of their art work and a brief explanation of each piece. You will give a tour of your exhibit to the class in Spanish. Your tour can be a videoed presentation or be presented to the class live. Each pair will be responsible for turning in a script of the exhibit tour prior to the presentation and should include the following elements:

Events: Include the 7-10 of the most important events of that artist’s life. Your tour should contain a visual representation of the events. This can be done through a time-line, individual photos, etc.
Description: Describe the artist in terms of their physical appearance and their personality. There must be at least three pictures of the artist at different times in their life.
Artistry: What style or styles did the artist use? Give examples of works of art that reflect that style.
Art Work: Include at least four more works by the artist. These three works should include, the title, the date or time period in which they were created, an objective description of the work and a subjective opinion of the work. In your objective description you should include the style of the painting, the theme of the painting and any other relevant facts surrounding the painting.
Extensions: You must choose at least one of the following ways to extend your project.

Song: Choose a song in Spanish that best represents your artist and their work. Also include a rationale, in Spanish, for choosing the song.
Art: Find the work of another artist who has a similar style to your artist. You must include two works of art, the artist, their title, the style and a brief explanation.
World Event: Describe a major world event that influenced your particular artist. You must describe the event and explain how it affected the artist and their work.
