SAT, ACT, AP Exam, & ASVAB Practice Tests Information
Dome SAT provides FREE prep services. The webpage includes free flashcards, lessons in the various SAT subject areas, practice tests/quizzes, vocabulary drills, & MORE! If you are interested in utilizing this service, please visit the Dome SAT webpage at http://www.domesatreview.com/.
For practice ACT, SAT, AP Exam, &/or ASVAB tests, go to learningexpresslibrary.com. You will need a public library card number for your username.
PSAT Testing Information (10th & 11 Grade)
All 10th & 11th grade students are strongly encouraged to take the PSAT test during the 2011-2012 school year. The cost of the test is FREE for 10th grade students and $14 for 11th grade students. There are multiple benefits to taking this test to include scholarship opportunities. Sign up information for 2011-2012 coming soon!

HVHS is proud to announce that we will be participating in the Virginia Advanced Study Strategies (VASS) program. A benefit to participating in this program is that all 10th grade students will be taking the PSAT test free of charge!Unfortunately, due to the large scale administration of the PSAT, we will not have sufficient staff to also administer the PLAN test as we have in previous years. If you would like additional information regarding the PLAN test, please visit www.act.org and/or complete practice ACT exams using the practice test information above. 2011 - 2012 BCAT (Burton Center for Arts & Technology) SAT Prep Course
Session A Dates: Aug. 27, Sept, 3, 10, 17, 24, & Oct. 1
Session B Dates: Jan. 28, Feb. 4, 11, 18, 25, & March 3
Session participation is by pre-registration only.
Tuition is $100** (includes SAT text book). Each course is held from 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the Burton Center for Arts & Technology (between the VA Hospital & the General Electric plant in Salem). To view the flier and/or print a registration form, click here.
** - Refunds are automatic when courses are filled or cancelled. Refunds will nto be given if the office is not notified 48 hours in advanced or for partipant's withdrawal after class has begun.
